Optimal Training Frequency for Neuroptimal Neurofeedback

Does Neurofeedback really work?

The posts on this blog are based on my personal experience and are not medical advice.

One of the first questions people ask when they are considering Neurofeedback is "how often can I train?" If clients are trying to optimize their training to see results in the shortest possible period, here is what I recommend:

Week 1: three days (start introducing your brain to neurofeedback)

Week 2: five or six days days (your brain is getting neurofeedback everyday with one or two breaks)

Week 3: every day. If you notice tension in your neck and jaw take 1-2 days off

Week 4: Two sessions per day. Try either a) one in the morning and one at night and b) two back to back training sessions.

Week 5 and beyond: start taking your foot off the gas and train back to back sessions two-four days per week.
